Daimler-Benz mid-size cars have always been particularly sophisticated in terms of overall design and detail. They offer five people with high demands a comfortable passenger compartment that is sufficiently wide and long, sufficiently high and yet not "leggy". With around 148 cm of elbow room, the driver and front passenger never cramp each other. Thanks to an average interior height of 115 to 125 cm, the armchairs and the bench seat can have comfortable, sufficiently high seating surfaces of 28 to 36 cm above the floor, while the head height at the front and rear remains fully adequate at 90 to 95 cm.
