Photo Gallery «Maserati Boomerang - the innovative extreme wedge by Giugiaro»
In 1971, the ItalDesign Boomerang concept car was exhibited at the Turin Motor Show, and a few months later, in March 1972, it appeared at the Geneva Motor Show equipped with functioning Maserati Bora mechanics. The Boomerang is one of the design milestones and is said to have influenced cars such as the VW Golf and the Lotus Esprit with its consistently geometric and straight lines. This report tells the story of the Boomerang and shows it in over 50 historical and current pictures, some of which have never been published before.
