When the successor to the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was presented in 1988, some fans were somewhat disappointed, as the "new one" was much more civilian and suitable for everyday use. This did not change with the 4x4 version that followed in 1990, except that it was now even faster with 220 catalytic converter horsepower. Visually inconspicuous, the "Cossie" had become a veritable "wolf in sheep's clothing".
