Summary
The BMW Coupé 2000 CS was certainly one of the main attractions for visitors to the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt in September 1965, although there was no shortage of competition. To this day, however, the coupé has remained exceptional in its front-end design and for many years also in its concept. But how does this coupé, now over 50 years old, drive today? This driving report looks at the design orientation of the BMW 2000 CS, describes driving impressions and shows the elegant coupé in current and historical pictures, as well as in the sales brochure from back then. A sound sample is also included.

There is much discussion about the front design. Its effect varies depending on the color of the car. The additional slits next to the BMW grille proved to be necessary to achieve a sufficient cooling effect."
