Bucciali, the mysterious dream cars from Paris
Summary
With a handful of luxury cars, the brothers Angelo and Paul-Albert Bucciali succeeded in sending thousands of visitors and the trade press into dreams, enthusiasm and enraptured amazement at the Paris Motor Show from 1926 to 1933. But not only that, they also laid the foundations for decades of speculation, conjecture and confusion among collectors, historians and experts. Even today, despite many efforts and numerous publications, it is still not possible to shed light on every last corner of the history of these fabulous luxury cars. This report is an attempt to paint a reasonably accurate picture of the extravagant Bucciali. It is based on contemporary documents and most of the articles and brand histories published in the last 30 years by such renowned connoisseurs as Jacques Rousseau, Griffith Borgeson, Serge Pozzoli, Gerard Crombac, Michael Sedgwick and others.
