Photo Gallery «The flying carpet - Borgward P 100 2.3-liter in the (historical) test»
The title refers to two features of the "big" Borgward P 100 2.3 l, which went into production in 1959. Thanks to its Hansamatic transmission and Bosch air suspension, the Bremen saloon was ideal for long journeys. In addition (this interpretation is a little far-fetched), the pretty Hanseatic adapted to the needs of its driver and was also quite sporty to drive despite its impressive mass, steering wheel gearshift and undersized brakes. This article reproduces an original test report from 1960 and shows the big Borgward in extensive historical pictures and sales material.
