With the Bitter CD, Erich Bitter had delivered a dream sports car based on the Opel Diplomat. When new models arrived at Opel, Bitter also had to change his plans and launched the Bitter SC, which was more comfortable and spacious than its predecessor. Was this and the design reminiscent of the Ferrari 365 GT 2+2 / 400 enough for success? This driving report describes the history of the Bitter SC and shows an example in many pictures, supplemented by historical photographs and a sound sample.
