At first glance, naming a 30-year-old car after a 50-year-old dance is not a sign of exuberant youthfulness. But when the Citroën 2 CV Charleston appeared at the end of 1980, the double dose of nostalgia went down particularly well with buyers who were barely older than the Citroën 2 CV and much younger than the Charleston.
