On October 1, 2022, an auction will take place for the first time at the Meilenstein Center in Langenthal. It will be organized by XE Exclusive Cars. 43 vehicles, including 1 motorcycle, a quad bike and a tractor, with an average age of 39 years and a total value of around CHF 4 million will go under the hammer. Also on offer will be some automobilia, in particular racing helmets from past decades.
Bids can be made on site in Langenthal, by written pre-bid, by telephone or online.
The aerodynamic wonder from France
One of the highlights of the auction is the Panhard CD from 1964, a car with an incredibly low drag coefficient for the time that raced at Le Mans in a similar form.

The vehicle on offer took part in the Le Mans Classic a few years ago and was extensively restored by an enthusiast. The starting price for the bids is CHF 95,000.
Rarely traded racing cars
While the Panhard CD is certainly a road-legal vehicle, other cars in the auction are pure racing cars.

This applies, for example, to the three Sauber cars from 1996, 2008 and 2013, which, as is well known, were on the grid with different partners and engines at the time. Today, they are pure show cars (without engines) and are expected to fetch six-figure sales prices.

Another racing car is the BMW 3.0 CSL from 1971 (E9 series), which will be at the starting line in full war paint. Bids will be accepted from CHF 95,000.

The Porsche 911 Carrera RSR from 1974 as a Jägermeister recreation is also colorful, but CHF 450,000 is required to bid on it.
Exciting classics
Porsche is represented nine times in the October 1, 2022 offer, Alfa Romeo and Ferrari are expected to be represented five times each, all other brands a maximum of four times.

Porsche has a 356 B from 1962 for sale, bids are accepted from 200,000.

The classics naturally also include the three VW Bus variants, including a "Samba" from 1966, and the 1960 Beetle 1200-based convertible and the 1966 Karmann-Ghia Coupé are also likely to attract a lot of interest.
The BWM 635 CSi from 1982 also looks attractive and, as a Swiss delivery and with a complete service booklet, is ready for bids from CHF 27,000.

The Jensen Interceptor from 1973, which is offered as a Mk. 3 version and was one of the absolute luxury coupés at the time, is more exotic.
Many young cars
More than a third of the vehicles on offer were built after 1990.

The spectrum ranges from the BMW 850i to the Porsche 911 GT2 from 2008. Several Ferraris, including an F355 Spider from 1999 and a 360 Spider from 2003, are included, as well as a Renault-Alpine A610 and a completely restored Toyota MR2 from 1991.

It will be interesting to see how buyers react to this new auction offer.
Further information on the auction and the individual cars can be found on the organizer's website.
