Catawiki is currently running an online auction exclusively with Ferrari sports cars until November 21, 2020. The range is broad and includes road sports cars from 1962 to 2009.
We would particularly like to mention the Ferrari 512 BB from 1979, a coveted carburetor-equipped mid-engine sports car that is now in the Netherlands, but was bought new in 1979 by Swiss racing driver and car collector René Herzog. Today it has only 16,317 km on the clock and was owned by the same family for 40 years.
The Ferrari 250 GT 2+2, which came under the virtual hammer at Catawiki in 1962, is also becoming increasingly rare. This is one of only 974 examples that were built. It is said to have been Enzo Ferrari's favorite car. According to Catawiki, the example on offer was completely restored a few years ago down to the last detail and with materials true to the original. The Ferrari now has some patina and minor flaws, but according to Catawiki, these make for a decidedly original overall impression.
The successor to the Ferrari 250 GT was known as the 330 GT, and here is a Series 1 example from 1964 for sale. The color "Oro Chiaro" suits the 2+2-seater front-engined coupé perfectly and according to Catawiki the car is in excellent condition.
Early Ferrari Testarossa models are also sought after. Here you can bid on a 1988 model with central hub ("Monodado"). The mileage shows the number 27,804 and according to Catawiki, the car is in its original paint and is ready to drive.
The Ferrari 550 Barchetta from 2001, on the other hand, which will be a youngtimer next year, is probably the right car for next summer. The bids go up quickly, but after all, only 448 of these open-top Maranellos were built. It is also equipped with a manual gearbox and has less than 2000 km on the clock.
