Bonhams is planning a small, but fine auction on February 19, 2021 on Bond Street in London. Six automobiles worth £8.82 million and interesting pre-war vehicle parts will go under the hammer live.
From the speedometer to the gearbox
The parts lots include several Jaeger instruments as well as gearboxes and engine parts from Bugatti and Meadows.
Six older cars
The six vehicles are on average 77 years old, none are younger than 56 years. The average estimated value was set at £ 1.47 million, but this is mainly due to the Bugatti.
A very special Bugatti 57
Every Bugatti Type 57 is something special, but the 57S on offer with chassis 57503 is a very special example. Not only is it one of the very few with a Corsica body, it was also built on a lightweight chassis from a factory racing car. The owner history is clear and full of interesting people.
This also explains the high estimated value of $ 5 BIS 7 million.
A Frazer Nash TT replica with history and patina
Much cheaper than the Bugatti is the Frazer Nash TT Replica from 1934, which was estimated at £ 200,000 to £ 250,000.
It first came onto the market over half a century ago and is considered a correct example that can certainly provide a lot of driving pleasure.
An Aston Martin DB4 GT as a corona project
Not every restoration is finished, so the Aston Martin DB4 GT from 1960 ("Chassis DB4GT/0113/R") is sold as a largely complete kit with original chassis, engine and gearbox. The car had been in the same family since 1966.
Even in unfinished condition, the Aston is not cheap, with an estimate of £ 1.4 to 1.8 million.
A Ferrari 275 GTS for next spring
Only 19 right-hand drive Ferrari 275 GTSs were sold to the UK.
Chassis 7171 has been in the same hands since 1977, was restored in 2012 and is now on the market for £700,000 to £900,000.
And a Jaguar XK140 and a Panhard et Levassor
A Jaguar XK140 3,8 LItre from 1955 for £ 130'000 to 160'000 and a Panhard et Levassor 2,2 Litre 12 HP X19 from 1913 for £ 40'000 to 60'000 complete the cars on offer.
More information on the vehicles and many photos can be found on the Bonhams website.
