Dodge Custom Sedan (1984)
€
The Dodge Custom is a model of the Chrysler automobile manufacturer under the Dodge automobile brand, which together with the Deluxe replaced the Luxury Liner model in September 1940. The Custom was the better equipped 1941 model. As the Dodge D22 series, this model was built from September 1941 until the end of civilian production in February 1942. In 1946, the Custom, now as the D24 series, together with its sister model Deluxe, was the first Dodge after the Second World War. The pre-war designs were essentially carried over. Only the radiator grille was changed slightly and only featured a chrome-plated grille pattern. This 1948 Dodge Custom Sedan was delivered in Geneva by Fratelli Ambrosoli & Cie. and first registered on September 17, 1949. In 1956, the sedan was transferred to its second owner, who remained loyal to it until the end of the 1970s. Many years ago, the Dodge was taken over by the consignor and exhibited in his private museum. The car was occasionally driven with dealer plates - the last time was around a year ago. The sedan is in remarkable, unrestored original condition. The very beautiful interior suggests that the 90,327 km displayed correspond to the actual mileage. The engine runs well and the "Fluid Drive" fluid clutch and the 3-speed gearbox function correctly. Due to the extended downtime, the Dodge requires a new battery and a serious recommissioning. This great original vehicle will be handed over to an enthusiast of American classics with its vehicle registration from 1956 and the last MFK in January 1979.
