For sale is an exceptionally well-preserved Citroën DS 23 Pallas from 1972 - a rare export version for the German market. It was first delivered in Düsseldorf by the well-known Citroën dealer Toni Ulmen and has been registered in the Rhineland ever since. The current owner from Altena in the Märkisch district acquired the vehicle in Cologne in 2017 with a mileage of 77,000 kilometers.

The DS is still largely in its original condition. The bodywork was professionally repainted. The entire technology was extensively overhauled in 2018. The engine was overhauled using original parts, and the complex hydropneumatic chassis including all hydraulic components was completely overhauled. This work was documented and is available in a detailed list.

The interior presents itself in charming original condition with the typical Pallas equipment, including original upholstery with a beautiful, even patina. Nothing has been over-restored - rather, the character of this exceptional vehicle has been lovingly preserved.

A Venturi autogas system with an 80-liter tank in the trunk was installed back in 2005. This conversion is part of the historic registration (H license plate) and was carried out professionally. A corresponding certificate from 2018 is available, as is the original vehicle registration document from 1972, which fully documents all owners since initial registration.

The Citroën DS 23 Pallas is not only considered a style-defining icon of its time, but also a milestone in the history of automotive engineering. With its hydropneumatic suspension, aerodynamic bodywork and exceptional ride comfort, it was far ahead of its time. Version 23 with the large engine is particularly sought-after as it perfectly combines performance and comfort. In conjunction with the built-in Venturi autogas system, this DS can even be driven particularly efficiently and cost-effectively today without sacrificing its historic character.
