Description
For sale is a rare, well-maintained Audi Super 90 (F103) with 1.8lt medium-pressure engine (90 hp) and 4-speed steering wheel gearbox. The mileage is 150,000 km (read off).
Auto Union GmbH, newly founded at the end of 1949, launched the F103 in the summer of 1965, the first model with the traditional Audi name after the Second World War. With its 90 hp (!), the Audi Super 90 was the top model in this series. Most of the 50,000 or so Super 90s produced were exported to the USA.
The body and interior of the vehicle offered here are in original, well-kept condition (the body has been extensively restored and rust has been removed, photos available). A lot has been done to the Audi in recent years. Among other things, the front and rear brakes, the shock absorbers, new axle boots, new tires, a new battery, the carburetor has been overhauled, etc. The Super 90 has a very nice patina (the driver's seat has some cracks, therefore no veteran status). The clutch whistles slightly when the engine is warm.
It is a Swiss vehicle, with first delivery by AMAG. The last MFK was in November 2023. More photos on www.riverside-classics.ch. A viewing and test drive is possible by appointment (vehicle is in an external storage facility).
