The resultant low cost of the car affords excellent value, and your confidence is assured by the Lotus six month warranty. The chassis/body unit comprises a lightweight welded 'space frame' of round and square section steel tubing, fitted with stressed aluminium and steel panels at strategic points. The bonnet, nose cowl, and scuttle panels are quickly detachable for servicing. The front and rear wings are deeply valanced for maximum weather protection and are moulded in glassreinforced plastic, as is the nose cowl.
