... INSTRUCTIONS Fuel Pump Priming Lever ‘A’ is the priming lever o f the fuel pump located on the left side o f the cylinder block. immediately and investigate the cause. Failure to do so may result in serious damage to the engine. Also check that the ignition warning light goes out when the engine is running above idling speed, as this indicates that the dynamo is charging the battery. A thermostat is incorporated in the cooling system to assist the engine in warming up from cold, but do not, under any circumstances, race the engine in an attempt to speed up the process. Push in the choke control completely as soon as the engine will run evenly without its use. When the vehicle has been out of action for several days the fuel in the carburetter may have evaporated. In these circumstances, before attempting to start the engine, refill the carburetter by operating the priming lever on the fuel pump, this being located low down on the left side of the engine. DRIVING CTART only in first gear, which is engaged by depressing the clutch ^ pedal and moving the gear lever into the appropriate position. Should the gear not readily engage, momentarily release the clutch pedal, after which, with the clutch again depressed, it should be possible to engage the gear.
