The interior of the Beta coupe has been designed to seat four in comfort and luxury, with a high standard of trim and equipment, refinement in every detail and welllocated controls. The deeply cushioned seating — for which Lancia holds the patent — has been based on anatomical research so as to provide natural, lumber support and lateral restraint, without restricting freedom of movement o f the limbs. The two front reclining seats tilt forward to provide generous access to the rear. And the reclining mecha nism is stepless, permitting the selection of an exact angle for maximum comfort. All four seats are equipped with integral head restraints. The facia includes no less that nine instruments (among them an engine oil level gauge) plus numerous warning lights, including one that indicates low brake fluid level or excessive wear to the front brake pads. Other interior equipment includes vertically adjustable steering column with antitheft lock, electronic clock and rev. counter, 2 speed wipers with intermittent sweep. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS ENGINE.
