With the Jagst 770 Riviera, Neckar-Automobilwerke offered a lot of style for little money. Although the small coupé based on the Fiat 600 was not exactly fast or particularly practical, it was all the more elegant for it. You could also put a "genuine" Vignale, i.e. one built by the master himself, in your garage for little money. This report reproduces the wording of the 'hobby' test, describes the strengths and weaknesses of the little beauty and shows it in historical photos.
Between 1961 and 1967, the Siata company built an elegant, sporty coupé based on the Fiat 1300/1500 saloon. In some markets, the car was also offered by the German NSU-Fiat. The design of the coupé, of which several thousand were produced, was by Giovanni Michelotti, with 1.3, 1.5 and 1.6 liter engines being used. This report portrays a Siata Fiat 1300 Coupé 2+2 from 1962 and tells the story of the pretty small-series vehicle, supplemented by sales literature, historical illustrations and a sound sample.
The Fiat 1100-103 was manufactured and sold in Germany as the NSU-Fiat Europa, benefiting from the long production period of the original. A mature car, therefore, as confirmed by the test in the magazine 'hobby', which, with the exception of the pricing, had almost only positive aspects to report. This article reproduces the original wording of the test at the time and shows the car and its corporate brother in historical illustrations and in the sales brochure of the time.
This hobby Super Test is an exception. For the first time, the jury that tests and then evaluates the vehicles consists not only of specialist journalists and experts, but also of hobby magazine readers! Together with specialist journalists, they test the NSU 1200 C, Simca 1100 and Fiat 128 models in various tasks. Braking tests, climbing extreme inclines and, of course, a subsequent evaluation of the vehicles are not to be missed!
