Just 70 examples of the Venturi 260 APC (Cup 511) with catalytic converter were built between 1991 and 1996. With around 260 hp, the aerodynamically favorable and elegantly shaped plastic mid-engine coupé offered convincing performance, but its price was in the top league. Despite its success in Le Mans racing, the Ventura company (formerly MVS) never got off the ground and stopped building the mid-engined sports car in 2000. This report portrays one of the rare coupés built in 1991 and tells the brief history of the manufacturer MVS/Venturi, supplemented by current and historical photographic material and a sales brochure from the time.
