In the spring of 1978, Fiat launched the Ritmo as the spearhead of a comprehensive renewal of the car range, which had to hold its own in an already well-stocked competitive environment with the VW Golf, Opel Kadett, Simca Horizon and Renault 14. An individual appearance and a well thought-out design were to make this possible. Did they succeed?
