The Dino 206 S was not as successful as it could have been. And it received less attention from the press than its competitor at the time, the Porsche Carrera 6. Nevertheless, reports in Powerslide and Automobil Revue magazine covered the fast sports car prototype, of which only 18 were built. The Dino 206 S is certainly one of the most beautiful racing Ferraris, even though it did not bear the trademark with the prancing horse. The planned production run of 50 vehicles came to nothing; only 18 were built and were able to make a name for themselves in motorsport despite unfavorable conditions. Almost all of the vehicles have survived and are now traded for millions, such as chassis 006 offered by RM Auctions at the auction on the occasion of the 2012 Monaco GP Historique.
