One famous brand of the past was Austro-Daimler. In 1899, the "Österreichische Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft" was founded in Wiener Neustadt, and in 1900 the first cars from the Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft in Stuttgart were produced under license. A highlight in the history of Austro-Daimler was the ADR swing-axle model, a design by Karl Rabe, whose sporty variant was the "Bergmeister" derived from it with the 3.6-liter 6-cylinder engine with 120 hp. This report describes the Austro-Daimler ADR on the basis of a sales brochure from 1928 and shows it in contemporary pictures and sales literature.
