Chris Amon is one of the best racing drivers of all time, but luck has rarely been kind to him in his career, which is why his Palmares does not include a single Grand Prix victory. His loyalty, but also his bad luck, are legendary and his attempt to build his own racing car with the Amon F101 was not crowned with success. In retrospect, however, the monoposto was only a short distance from great success. It could have worked. This report describes the background and history of the Amon F101 and shows it in historical and current pictures.
