On April 28, 2012, the Oldtimer Gallery in Toffen held its traditional spring auction. 117 cars went under the hammer, 80 were knocked down, although almost half of them were conditional. No bids were received for 23 vehicles. At the end of the day, the results were mixed, with some of the highest bidders having made a real bargain. The VW Standard (Beetle) from 1949 was the most successful, selling for almost 50% above the estimated price, but several other vehicles also achieved good results.
