52 percent of the 83 classic cars were sold definitively or conditionally by the Dutch Auction Company at its first auction in Switzerland on September 28, 2024. 83 cars were offered by the Dutch Auction Company on September 28, 2024 in Degersheim alongside cult items such as neon signs and jukeboxes. In total, the vehicles, most of which were located in Switzerland, but some also in the Netherlands and other European countries, were estimated at CHF 11.2 million. The average age of the vehicles was 56 years, and a small fraction were sold without a minimum offer. Unfortunately, the weather was not exactly friendly on the day of the auction; it rained non-stop. Because some of the cars had to be parked outside, it was somewhat more difficult to inspect them. Some of the cars were driven up (wet) during the auction. The atmosphere in the hall was good with bratwurst, wine and beer, but only a small proportion of the bidders were in the hall in Degersheim, with many bids coming in via the Internet or half a dozen online auction platforms.
