There were Sizaire & Naudin, Sizaire & Berwick and Sizaire Frères. In 1903, Maurice and Georges Sizaire and Louis Naudin created a single-cylinder Voiturette in Paris. Maurice Sizaire developed an ingeniously innovative 3-speed gearbox and an early independent front suspension with transverse leaf springs and sliding tubes in front of the radiator. The SA des Automobiles Sizaire & Naudin was founded in 1905 with financial backers. A number of Voiturette racing victories helped to build up the company's reputation and annual sales amounted to around 600 units. In 1908, 100 miles were covered at 106 km/h on the Brooklands circuit with a 1963 cc single-cylinder engine - a record! However, when the four-cylinder 14/16 HP model failed in racing in 1912, the board of directors fired the three company founders. Sizaire & Naudin then lost momentum and went under in 1921.
