Sabra 1960-1974 - licensed buildings from Israel
Summary
There were around 10,000 car brands and designers - most of them have disappeared. One of these vanished brands is Sabra, which built the Reliant Sabre with a modified front under license in Israel. Many other models also left the factory between 1960 and 1974, but the annual output was always comparatively low.

From the late 1950s to the early 1980s, Israel produced its own passenger cars under different company and brand names. The Autocars Company, founded in Haifa in 1957, also built a small estate car with a Ford Anglia engine. In 1961, it took over the licensed production of a sports convertible developed by the British Reliant Engineering Co. While this Reliant Sabre had an angular radiator face, the Israeli Sabra Sport was given an aerodynamically extended front end. The 1.7 L drive unit originated from the Ford Consul and was available from 1962 with optional power upgrades up to 91 SAE hp. In 1963, a four-seater fastback coupé was added to the range.
