Photo Gallery «RM/Sotheby's Paris sale 2020 - big disappointments and price surprises»
78 cars came under the hammer at the RM/Sotheby's auction in Paris on February 5, 2020, as usual at Place Vauban on the Friday of the Rétromobile, as well as some memorabilia and technical parts. The cars represent a value of over EUR 39 million. The result was not quite so great, with the vehicles fetching just over EUR 16 million, mainly because some of the expensive vehicles, including a Jaguar D-Type and a Lamborghini Veneno Roadster, did not attract enough bidders. On the other hand, other cars surprised positively, such as a Ferrari Testarossa or a Jaguar XK 120 Coupé, but above all the replica of the "Red Sow" based on the Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3. This auction review analyzes the results, describes the atmosphere on site and shows the vehicles in pictures.
