Photo Gallery «RM/Sotheby's Monterey 2021 - three days, over 145 million and disappointment with the top lot»
RM/Sotheby's auctioned 161 vehicles, including two motorcycles and a Velo-Solex, over three days at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elégance from August 12 to 14, 2021. Expectations were high, with an estimated total value of around USD 212 million. Overall, 90% of the vehicles were sold for a total of around USD 145 million, meaning just over one million was paid per lot. Some of the most expensive vehicles did not find a new owner, including the Porsche 917K from 1970. The most expensive car was therefore an Aston Martin DB4 GT Zagato, followed by a Ferrari 268 SP from 1962. This auction report analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
