Photo Gallery «RM/Sotheby's Hershey Auction 2021 - Duesenberg and old Americans on a high»
On October 7 and 8, 2021, RM/Sotheby's auctioned 135 vehicles in Hershey. A total of USD 12.85 million was generated for the cars and the few two-wheelers, i.e. USD 90,100 per lot. The most expensive car was a 1931 Duesenberg Model J, which alone was good for USD 1.65 million in sales. Only one European make made it into the top 10 of the auction, which was dominated by American car brands. The sales quota amounted to 97 percent despite only 54 percent "no reserve" lots. On average, however, only 84 percent of the median estimate was bid. This auction report analyzes the results in detail and shows some of the vehicles in the picture.
