Auctions at trade fairs are popular, and the hammer was also swung at the Swiss Classic World Lucerne on May 25, 2019. Oldtimer Galerie Toffen offered 45 cars and a motorcycle worth almost CHF 4.4 million (almost EUR 4 million). The offerings were varied, but the customers were picky. While some cars, such as a Mercedes-Benz 220 S Cabriolet or a Chevrolet Corvette C1, sold above expectations, other cars did not quite live up to expectations, with the result that a significant proportion of the vehicles were only sold under reserve (50%) or not at all (15%).
