Photo Gallery «With the curator through the Museo Storico Alfa Romeo in Arese»
There was a huge outcry when the Alfa Romeo Museum closed its doors in 2011. The condition of the building was lamentable, it was raining in, the type of exhibition was outdated and, last but not least, the then FCA boss Marchionne was not exactly a man of sentimental disposition when it came to cutting costs. The collection, which was only open to visitors by appointment, last attracted around 5,000 visitors. In 2013, resistance formed among enthusiasts, and even the regional president of Lombardy campaigned for a new museum to be built for the brand. In 2015, just in time for the launch of the new Giulia, the museum shone in new splendor. The curator and spiritual father behind the concept is Lorenzo Ardizio.
