When a BMW Art Car started at Le Mans for the first time in 1975, it was both a sensation and a gift for the spectators, as Hervé Poulain, the initiator of the driving works of art, describes it today. 19 Art Cars have been created since then, seven of which are currently on display as a special exhibition at the BMW Museum in Munich. In conversation with Hervé Poulain, the special features of the individual cars were discussed, the findings are summarized in this exhibition report, which of course shows the exhibited cars in many pictures.
