Iconic Auctioneers held a series of auctions on the occasion of the Silverstone Festival. Among other things, automobiles, motorcycles and road and racing cars went under the hammer on August 23-25. This review focuses on the 165 vehicle lots that were auctioned on Friday and Saturday. In total, the sports and racing cars were valued at around £11.2 million in advance. On average, they were almost 40 years old. 93 vehicles were sold immediately, 72 were left standing. Six cars had already been withdrawn beforehand. On average, bidders went for up to 82% of the median estimate. The largest contingents of vehicles came from Ford (27 cars), Mercedes-Benz (16), Porsche (14) and Jaguar (10).
