Photo Gallery «Gooding & Co Scottsdale 2020 - high sales rate, records and disappointments»
Gooding & Co auctioned off classic cars in Scottsdale for the 13th time on January 17/18, 2020. 137 automobiles and one engine went under the hammer, two cars were withdrawn. The offering had a strong European flavor and included some highlights. However, it was not the "usual suspects" that caused the biggest surprises, but two pre-war cars, a Porsche 914, a Mercedes-Benz 190E and a Land Rover. The cars were valued at almost USD 50 million, but realized just under USD 36 million. On average, each buyer paid USD 292,000 per car, 89 percent of which were sold. This auction report analyzes the results and shows some of the cars in the picture.
