No, three-wheelers are not included in this AR series. But in 1957, the FMR brand, which had emerged from Messerschmitt production, supplemented its KR = cabin scooter series with the four-wheel Tiger model. But first things first: in 1952, the resourceful designer Fritz Fend persuaded the legendary former fighter aircraft manufacturer Willy Messerschmitt to use his empty factory facilities in Regensburg to produce a small car. Fend developed a three-wheeled wagon with tandem seats, above which a Plexiglas roof opened out to the side. The Messerschmitt KR 175 celebrated its premiere at the 1953 Geneva Motor Show: tubular frame with floor pan, welded sheet steel body, handlebar instead of steering wheel, rear single wheel on swing arm and an air-cooled single-cylinder two-stroke engine with 174 cm³ and 9 hp in front of it. The Messerschmitt clearly stood out from other cabin scooters with its cockpit resembling an airplane cockpit.
