Summary
On April 21, 2018, the Oldtimer Galerie Toffen auctioned 96 vehicles worth CHF 3.2 million (EUR 2.7 million), including around a dozen two-wheelers. However, the highlights of the afternoon were not the BMW Z8, Porsche 914/6 or Jaguar XK140 Autenrieth, but an 11 hp Peugeot from 1922 that stole the show. This auction report gives the complete results, shows all the cars as well as the atmosphere on site and analyzes the course of the auction.

Preview (beginning of the article)
On April 21, 2018, Reinhard Schmidlin and his team once again invited guests to the traditional spring auction in Toffen, where the weather was truly imperial and the temperatures were almost summer-like. As usual, the focus was not on world records and super classics worth millions, but on a wide range of 96 vehicles, of which around a dozen were equipped with two wheels and the rest with three or four. The oldest car was from 1922, the youngest from 2001, so the selection spanned nine decades. In total, the estimated values amounted to around CHF 3.2 million (EUR 2.7 million). On average, therefore, each vehicle was expected to fetch around CHF 36,000 or EUR 30,000.
