The Ford Capri was produced from 1968 to 1986. The Capri was, so to speak, a Europeanized version of the Mustang and, like the Mustang, was extraordinarily successful with almost 1.9 million vehicles sold. It created a new vehicle category, that of the individual large-series coupés, which were not simply slightly adapted limousine offcuts. Motorization, equipment and prices changed continuously over the 17 years of production, the most important milestones are summarized here.
