Summary
In the run-up to the London to Brighton Run, Bonhams organized its annual auction of early-built two to four-wheelers on 3 November 2023. 31 vehicles were offered, 26 of which sold for an average of £108,064. However, non-London-Brighton vehicles provided the biggest surprises. This auction review analyzes the results and shows all the vehicles in the picture.

Preview (beginning of the article)
An auction where the average age of the vehicles on offer is almost 120 years is unusual. But of course it fits in with the London-Brighton Run, the annual race for vehicles up to 1904. Although Bonhams has no longer been an official partner of the veterans' event for two years, the auction of suitable vehicles has been maintained and customers seem to appreciate this. Now you might think that interest in such "bulky" and hardly usable old classics in everyday life would be rather low, but the opposite was the case. 26 of the 31 vehicles on offer were sold, with an average bid of 92% of the median estimate. The highest bid for hardly any of the vehicles was below the lower estimate.
