On October 8, 2018, Bonhams auctioned 49 automobiles worth around USD 6.1 million at the Simeone Foundation Museum in Philadelphia. On average, the cars were over 76 years old, and the proportion of pre-war cars was correspondingly high. However, the valuable Bentley, Isotta Fraschini, Stutz and Rolls-Royce did not find new owners; the overall sales rate was 71 percent, with an average bid of 76 percent of the expected value. This auction article analyzes the bids and results and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
