Photo Gallery «Results of the Bonhams auction in Scottsdale 2019 - not a euphoric start to the year»
On January 17, 2019, Bonhams auctioned 120 classic cars with an average age of 51 years in Scottsdale. The total value of the vehicles on offer was estimated at over USD 40 million, but the auction turnover ultimately amounted to USD 15.5 million, as expensive cars such as the Ferrari 500 Mondial and the Porsche 904 GTS in particular failed to find a new owner. In contrast, the Maserati A6G/2000 and the Fiat 1100C with Frua bodies were sold. Some super classics also passed into new hands. The sales quota amounted to 89 percent, which was also due to the high proportion (83%) of no-reserve lots. On average, interested parties bid 75 percent of the median estimate. This auction report analyzes the results and shows all the cars in the picture.
