Summary
On the occasion of the Monaco Grand Prix Historique, Bonhams held an auction of 41 cars and some memorabilia at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo Hotel. Despite a low "no-limit" percentage, four-fifths of the cars were sold. A turnover of EUR 10.3 million was recorded. A number of classics sold at surprisingly low prices caused some frowns. This auction review analyzes the results and shows all the cars in pictures.

The Monaco Grand Prix Historique takes place every two years and is accompanied by auctions. Bonhams kicked things off on April 24, 2026 and put 41 cars and some memorabilia under the hammer. Together, the vehicles were estimated at around EUR 16.4 million, with a quarter going under the hammer without a reserve price. In the end, 33 cars, i.e. 80%, were sold at the Fairmont Monte-Carlo Hotel for a total of EUR 10.3 million or EUR 310,239 per car. In keeping with the glamorous city of Monte-Carlo, the 10 Ferrari cars auctioned accounted for around a quarter of the total, followed by four Lancia, four Mercedes-Benz and four Porsche.
