Photo Gallery «Bonhams Bonmont Auction 2020 - high prices, especially for very young cars»
For the second time, Bonhams was a guest at the Bonmont Golf Club near Geneva on September 2, 2020 to auction off 80 cars and motorcycles. Due to the coronavirus pandemic and rising case numbers in the canton of Vaud, organizational adjustments had to be made, but in the end the auction was still able to go ahead with a live audience in the tent. Even the threat of thunderstorms did not deter bidders from buying. 69 percent of the motorcycles were sold, 63 percent of the cars. On average, 73 percent of the median estimate was bid. A total of 52 lots were sold for CHF 7.7 million. Demand for the young cars was significantly higher than for the older cars and both Swiss special bodies remained unsold. This review analyzes the results and shows all cars and some motorcycles in the picture.
