Eight days before Christmas, Bonhams hosted an auction for the last time in 2020. Due to the pandemic, the number of items on offer was limited and, despite a small number of invited guests, bids came mainly via the internet or phone calls. 19 super classics went under the hammer, including seven Aston Martin sports cars, as well as Atalanta and the Mercury from a James Bond film. It was the latter that caused a surprise success and a record. This auction review analyzes the mood and results and shows all the vehicles in pictures.
