Preview (beginning of the article)
According to Bonhams, the Zoute auction was one of the company's most important events last year, and expectations for the 2025 edition were correspondingly high. Around 60 automobiles were on offer, including the collection of the former CEO of Cartier and former co-CEO of luxury goods manufacturer Richemont. Cars from the recent past as well as classics from the post-war period were for sale. Highlights included the Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta Lusso from 1963 and an Aston Martin DB5 Cabriolet. However, the greatest expectations were for a Ferrari LaFerrari from 2014 or the Maserati MC12 Stradale from 2005. A Porsche 906 Carrera 6, the factory prototype, was also announced. Anyone who remembers the yellow Porsche 550 Spyder, which sold for a top price in Zoute last year, could look forward to this year's auction with high expectations.
