With "Automobiles en Scènes", the auction company Artcurial launched a new auction format in Paris on Monday, June 17, 2019. The venue was the historic Théâtre du Rond-Point on the Champs-Elysées in the heart of Paris. On offer were 84 classics worth almost EUR 15 million. However, the bidders did not really want to participate, so that only just under half of the cars could be sold. In addition, the prices were on average over 20 percent lower than expected. Highlights included a Ferrari 275 GTB, a Bugatti Type 49 Cabriolet and a number of relatively youthful Porsche sports cars.
