Photo Gallery «Ladies' choice on the Ring - Ford's Ladies Cup and its consequences»
In 1982, Ford launched its own racing cup just for women. The 20 eligible female drivers were selected by a committee of racing drivers and journalists, who received 1400 applications! The races, which the women were initially able to take part in completely free of charge, were fiercely contested, both before and after the races and off the track. To the delight of the spectators and of course the entire men's world. Once again, Rainer Braun tells a special chapter of racing history, illustrated with impressive contemporary photos.
