From October 18 to 20, 2013, the largest historic racing event in Portugal took place, the Algarve Classic Festival, which was held for the fourth time. The race track in the south-westernmost part of Europe combines a Spa-like hill and valley track experience with southern charm. Despite the economic crisis, the organizers conjured up 160 vehicles at the start, spread across seven racing series. Although the event cannot (yet) compete with its big brothers in the north in terms of visitor numbers and variety of vehicles, the spicy warm air of pretty southern Portugal and the picturesque landscapes give this event a special charm.
