Photo Gallery «The Georges Irat GP6 from 1928 in the eternal battle with Bugatti»
Georges Irat only built one Grand Prix car, the GP 6 from 1928, and it was only used once as a works car, but it didn't stand a chance against the lighter Bugattis. This defeat was to be atoned for many, many years later. This article tells the story of the unique Georges-Irat Grand Prix car and the attempt to win against the Bugattis at Klausen.
