Rain is no exception at the Gaisbergrennen, but never before has the historic Gaisbergrennen been held in such heavy rainfall and cool temperatures as at the 2013 event. The fact that the daring owners nevertheless exposed their classic cars to the weather and drove unperturbed to the summit of Salzburg's local mountain, doing their laps on the Salzburgring and in the city center, shows that classic car owners are tough. The audience in Salzburg thanked them with much applause and enthusiasm.
